Raphael Bilgraer is a Pharm.D/Ph.D in Biomedical Sciences with a passion for applying AI and Modeling & Simulation techniques to derisk and speed up drug development. He is an expert in implementing Model-Informed Drug Development (MIDD) strategies to bring better and safer therapies to the patient, faster. Currently, he serves as the Principal Consultant at quantmetrics, where he leads the development and implementation of MIDD strategies for small molecules and biologics. With over 6.7 years of relevant experience, Raphael has a proven track record of success in his field. He has previously worked as a Senior Pharmacometrician, Clinical Pharmacology & Pharmacometrics at Teva Pharmaceuticals, where he led the design and implementation of MIDD strategies for small molecules and biologics. His expertise in hands-on modeling, including Exploratory Data Analysis, NCA, Population PK/PD, E-R, PBPK, Clinical Trial Simulations (R, NONMEM, Monolix, PK-Sim/MoBi), and development of R Shiny applications for automatic data exploration, model-based simulation, and reporting, has been instrumental in his success. Raphael is also skilled in effective communication of M&S insights to support internal and regulatory decision making and management of external resources (consultants, CROs). He has contributed to relevant regulatory document sections (preIND, BB, IND, NDA, BLA). Raphael has a strong educational background, including a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biomedical Sciences from the Université de Paris and a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) from the same institution. He also holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Pharmacology and Toxicology and a Professional Certificate in Data Science from HarvardX. Raphael's tech stack includes AI and Research Scientist.
